Rooted in Culture, Defined by Intention

Desireé’s vision is steeped in her Caribbean heritage. Born into a family of creatives and educators, she grew up surrounded by vibrant colors, rich textures, and a deep reverence for tradition. “My upbringing taught me that beauty wasn’t optional—it was a form of respect,” she says. “How we show up in the world is a reflection of who we are.”


That principle guides her brand. VIORÈ is intentionally crafted—from scent notes to stitching—with Black women in mind. Desireé draws inspiration from the women who raised her: resilient, expressive, and complex. Her collections reflect this duality—combining softness with strength, structure with fluidity.

Before launching VIORÈ, Desireé had a successful career in media and creative direction, shaping visual narratives for others. But she felt the pull to build something that bore her name and vision.


“I was helping others tell their stories,” she says. “But my own was ready to be told.”


She developed VIORÈ slowly and intentionally—choosing scent profiles, sketching fashion pieces, and building a business model rooted in luxury and storytelling. When the brand launched, it resonated immediately with women seeking depth, artistry, and presence.

VIORÈ’s fragrance line is one of its defining elements. “Scent is how we introduce ourselves before we speak,” Desireé says. “It’s a part of your presence.”

Challenges, Balance, and Being the Brand

As a founder, Desireé is hands-on. She leads design, branding, customer engagement, and logistics. “Some days are CEO mode. Other days, I’m the creative,” she says.


She navigates these roles with intentional pauses. “Rituals keep me grounded,” she shares. Aromatherapy, journaling, and solitude help her stay connected to her purpose. “I have to protect my peace so I can lead with clarity.”


What’s Next for VIORÈ

Over the next five years, Desireé plans to scale VIORÈ into a global lifestyle brand. She envisions a flagship store, a full home fragrance collection, and a documentary series capturing the stories of Black women reclaiming their beauty and power.


Her ultimate goal: “To create a brand that reminds women who they’ve always been.”
