Determined to restore her hair’s health, she started creating natural hair care products, which quickly gained popularity. As more people sought her products, she expanded into body care and African attire, officially forming Born Beautiful, LLC—a wellness brand dedicated to self-care, beauty, and empowerment.

By 2022, Daisy’s path took a new turn. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, she realized her passion for coaching and counseling. She became a Hello7 Certified Coach, combining her counseling background with her entrepreneurial experience to guide women in building impactful, purpose-driven businesses. Now, as she prepares for retirement from her federal career, Daisy is focused on helping women transition from traditional careers to entrepreneurship, aligning their skills with meaningful ventures.

Like many entrepreneurs, Daisy faced “shiny object syndrome”, constantly jumping between strategies and trying to skip steps. This made it difficult to build a sustainable business foundation. Once she focused on mastering the essentials, her business began to grow with clarity and confidence.

The principles of “service before self” and “integrity in all you do”, ingrained from her early military days, still guide her. She also emphasizes emotional intelligence, helping her connect with clients and build trust while managing her business with strategic precision.

Balancing business with personal responsibilities is no easy task, but Daisy has developed key strategies to manage it effectively. One of her core routines is the Daily 7, a structured self-help method that ensures she starts her day with clarity and purpose. Additionally, as a federal employee, she utilizes alternate work schedules, dedicating Fridays entirely to business growth. At home, she openly communicates with her husband about redistributing responsibilities and bringing in additional help when necessary. These intentional strategies have allowed her to maintain balance while scaling her business.

Additionally, she aims to license her coaching frameworks, training programs, and courses to federal agencies and corporate organizations, creating a go-to system for transitioning federal employees into successful entrepreneurship. By providing tailored strategies for Black women, Daisy hopes to reshape the future of federal leadership and business ownership.

Daisy’s advice to young Black women is simple yet powerful: “You are enough, exactly as you are.” She encourages women to recognize their unique value, trust their instincts, and embrace the entrepreneurial journey with courage.
